Me and MY TRADING GUIDELINES: ----------------------------- FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT ! NOTHING HERE IS FOR SALE. NEVER EVER! Even not by ME! Even not by YOU! It´s only trading I´m interested in! But, if you are a newcomer and just want to start your collection, b&p may be possible. (b&p only in euro-currency-countries). [b&p = you send me blanks & return postage, I´ll send you the discs] ATTENTION : To my knowledge none of the recordings in my "bootleg"-collection is an "official" release. BUT I may have received a legal disc without realizing it. If you find such a disc on my list, I ask you to drop me a line. I will NOT copy & trade these recordings. IF you are an artist or an legal representative of one and don´t want your recordings shared and traded, pls send me a notice and i´ll remove your recordings from my list. my eMail: tradewithme@down-by-the-river.de Besides my own recordings, I´ll spread the CDs unedited, just as I´ve got them. I´m no wizzard, I´m not the "Rolling Stones Mobile Recording Unit", so I can´t turn a 1964 Bob Dylan field recording in a "High-Fi-5.1 Channel-Surround" CD. So I only can share with you what I have. Most music in my collection are live-recordings, done from music-lovers for music-lovers. So you can´t expect more than fans can do. But you may wonder, what fans can do! I like to trade on a 1 to 1 basis. All Audio CDs are copied from my side "Disc At Once" (dao), so there is no 2 sec. gap between the tracks. But I may received "Track At Once" (dao) discs without to notice it by myself. I´ll try to avoid to send them further. So I ask you to do it the "Disc At Once" way. If you don´t know how to do it, please ask me. If your CDs are "Track At Once", or have any known bugs, please notify me before you send me the disc, I may not want it & prefer to choose something else from your list! All VIDEO - CDs in my list are copied with CLONE.CD. These CDs should always be copied "image-wise", [write an image of the source to the hard-disc and write the image to the new CD] If you feel unshure or unsafe how to do that, please ask me, i can provide you with an as easy as 1-2-3 "how to". I use relieable hardware and media, send you the discs in paper sleeves and in protective envelopes. I'd appreciate it, if you'd do it likewise. Please do not write - and don´t put labels - on the CDs you send me. Because of the high cost of the german postal-service i can´t send airmail to no-european countries no longer! This prolongs the shipping time from 4-5 days to around 10 days! I do have setlists and/or artwork for most of the shows on this list (and would like to receive the infos for the discs you are going to send me). These infos are the infos I´ve also received or "googled". I´ll try to check it, but I can not always guarantee, that they are 100% right. If you find any error, please drop me a line. If you want, I will do send you all the informations, setlists and artwork I have, by eMail. These files may be big, so check about the possible size of eMail-attachments by your eMail provider, so the files didn´t bounce back. I don´t have a "setlist" section online, but I can upload everything I have, so if you want to download the infos and artwork, pls tell me, we can make this happen. Trading is based on trust. When I tell you I will send you the disks, I DO send you the disks. Usually it will take me some days to send your things out. It won't be any more than two weeks. Sometimes I get busy, so keep in touch. If things do get strained, I'll try to let you know. Because beside of this hobby, I do have a family to care for and I have some other things to do. Communications is the key, so I´ll try to stay in contact with you while our trade, please do also. I may fail in one way or another. If I did, tell me. I will fix it. They are not going to be perfect and should not be considered as such. Listen to them with a grain of salt and just bite your lip during a bad section of the recording. If you can not do this, why are you collecting bootlegs in the first place? **************************************************************************************** I haven´t qualified the CDs right now, because: The artistical quality depends allways on taste, mood & state of mind, so it´s hard to judge. The audible quality is also hard to judge. I looked at different sources, compared it and often they do qualify different for the same disk. I haven´t made up my mind up now. But it´s still work in progress. But don´t mind, if you ask me, I will give you my opinion, ***************************************************************************************** COPYING INFORMATION -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Because I´ve just build me a new computer, I changed my gear and I now use the following hard- and software: Hardware: Athlon 2000+, 512MB RAM, 160GB HD, 2x 80 GB HD on Raid 0 Plextor PX-40TS SCSI / SONY DVD-ROM DDU 1621 Plextor PX-W 4012 / LG DVD-Writer Software: eac [www.exactaudiocopy.de], WinOn CD 5, Nero 6, Clone CD 4 (for Video CDs) My Video CDs (VCD) do play on ALL my CD/DVD-ROMs and on my Toshiba SD 220E and my XERO stand-alone DVD-Players. By converting shn to wav and vice versa: I use the mkw audio compression tool (c) Michael K. Weise, and I do check the xxx.md5 files with this funky little tool also. flac´ing is done with the etree flac.exe end the flac-frontend.
